Skin rashes, usually non-specific, including exceptional cases of exfoliative dermatitis have been reported; the relationship with the drug has not been formally established. Gastrointestinal Nausea and more rarely vomiting, anorexia, constipation and dysgeusia have been reported. Endocrine Effects on the Thyroid Both hyper- and hypothyroidism have occurred during or soon after treatment with amiodarone. Simple monitoring of the usual biochemical tests is confusing because some PBI and 131I uptake ; are invalidated and others T4, T3 and FTI ; may be altered where the patient is clearly euthyroid.
